A message from the executive committee
Welcome to the International Society of Food, Agriculture and Environment (ISFAE). ISFAE is a non profit Scientific Society with a goal to promote science and development and to disseminate news and information on an international scale.The value of a scientific society such as ours is primarily in the networking opportunities it can provide. Successful networking requires active participation by the members and leadership in organizing networking/interactive events. Since ISFAE is multidisciplinary society, its success fully depends on our ability to attract and retain members.
The Executive secretariat of ISFAE, led by an executive committee with a secretary general and a president, which has already created core structures that provide a solid foundation for the society to flourish and bring members from different corners of the world under its umbrella in the future. The society now has an impressive web presence (www.isfae.org) and its own scientific journal (the J. of Food, Agriculture & Environment - JFAE ) as well as a popular online journal Agri-Food ''Research & News'' and books. Members will benefit of free services and access to online journals. ISFAE also offers work placement to some students and provides consultant services to universities, schools, institutions or organizations. To make the society strong and popular, and give the momentum it deserves, all of us ought to participate in some of the following ways:
- Providing leadership in arranging self-funded local, regional and international seminars, conferences, symposium, workshops, lectures and/or exhibitions under the auspices of ISFAE.
- Contributing quality manuscripts to our scientific journal JFAE (http://www.isfae.org/scientjourn.php) and encouraging others to publish books.
- Promoting ISFAE, JFAE and books at conferences, lectures, relevant magazines, journals, network or news papers and within your own institution or association (as well as among colleagues and students), to encourage growth in membership. (print flyers)
- To inform scientists, students and professionals, You may freely publish (edit or translate in your own language, if needed) the information about ISFAE and JFAE in your local or regional magasine or journal or in the website / internet service of your institute or school (download ISFAE review article)
Please communicate with the ISFAE Secretariat with suggestions on topical issues that could be the focus of possible future conferences and be prepared to play a leading role in managing such events.
We look forward to your full support and strong leadership in achieving a vibrant performance for our society in the days ahead.
